LAR Sponsored Natural Gas Ban Panel Discussion
LAR invites you to a panel discussion with experts on all sides of the issue including:
Robert Sandor, Professor Foothill College. Robert is an Electrical Engineer who has transitioned several Silicon Valley IT based companies from start-up to full production operations. He has served in an executive role at DirecTV, Neoforma (Healthcare), Ricoh (web services) and General Magic (voice recognition, personal assistant web based service). He has a MS degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and a BS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from U.C. Berkeley. Robert believes that energy is a fundamental resource for all society and as such should be used wisely, and distribution systems for energy should be based upon solid design principles. He has concerns that current political pressures upon the California electrical grid deployment will violate best engineering practices and result in unreliable, expensive outcomes that will harm rather than benefit us.
John Supp, Account Services Manager, Silicon Valley Clean Energy. John brings nearly twenty years of energy experience in both the private and public sectors. While he began his career focused on customer-sited wind then solar, the current decade shifted toward comprehensive solutions including market transformation, policy, workforce development, and decarbonization of buildings and transportation. He is a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) and received his undergraduate degree from UCLA.
